The big negative remark I can leave is that the food was very poor for the price we paid. The Resort was well designed and is well kept. not to mention one of the most attractive golf courses I’ve ever seen. Everything was amazing here, luxurious amenities, up-to-date rooms, good people, friendly staff, ample security. Secrets was a great experience for us overall. We have been to Cabo Many times and enjoyed many different experiences. Might as well be in a resort closer to town that might even be more luxurious even. Overall an ok experience but will I go back? Probably not. A ride to town is not even $10 or 150 MX so negotiate. So basically everybody is trying to take advantage of you all the time. Transportation is a bit complicated since the hotel is far from everything and the hotel apparently doesn’t let Uber in since they probably don’t get anything from it and taxis will charge you $20-$40 to drive you to town. Food is mediocre at best, and of course always trying to upsell you some “premium” liquor gringo prices aka overpriced because you are an American tourist which they assume but I’m not and despite speaking Spanish to everybody get responded automatically i English which is not even my first language either. Talking about the pool, it’s really hard to find a spot as people try to save their spot and the staff doesn’t really help you to get situated. Rooms are nice and clean but you could be half a mile from the lobby and pool so be prepared to get your steps in. Massages are ok but not worth being that overpriced knowing that the money is not going to the masseuse obviously. The spa is not really top notch for the prices for massages and other services. Prices are ridiculously high too for everything. I realized quickly that they sometimes double the price that you can find online directly to the company that sells it Or don’t fall for the “deal” to listen to a presentation aka timeshare. ![]() Don’t trust the people there trying to sell you activities. It’s a nice resort, well maintained, clean…staff is overall nice and friendly. I have worked in customer service and did not want to be a "karen." This situation was no fault of Secrets and overall it was a wonderful stay. I wish I had made a bigger deal about it and asked for a new room, but I did not. We made a complaint to the front desk, but it did not seem to make a difference. We assumed that it would quiet down and that they were just excited to be on vacation, but it continued every night. they played music in there room at all of hours of the day and constantly yelled to one another outside of the rooms. They frequently went onto our patio to get to the other room from the swim-out pool. The only negative was on day two of our stay a large family checked in with rooms on either side of us. There was no beach access at the time we visited, but the barracuda bar where beach access would have been was the coolest. We had no problems getting an Uber for any activities off the resort. My favorite was the bike tour and yoga every morning with Coach Carol. ![]() The activities team was great, we were well entertained during our stay. The food was not as impressive as the first time we stayed at Secrets, but it was fine for all-inclusive. Keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. It is a very large campus so there was a lot of walking to do. ![]() We had a swim out room that was romantic and dreamy. The view was beautiful, the pool was perfect. The staff humored me and my attempts to speak the local language. The grounds were well kept, the staff was friendly, kind, and overall amazing. It was a anniversary getaway for my husband and I.
